First Baptist chose their new Allen Quantum Q-285 received their new organ the same week at Holy Family Cathedral.  It too replaced an older 1970s vintage Allen.  However, First Baptists first Allen organ was permanently destroyed when the city power company inadvertently sent a high-voltage surge through the building while working on some power lines, destroying most everything plugged into an outlet.  Luckily no one was hurt and the building survived the jolt.
